Tolu Arokodare has explained why he shared tears after making his Super Eagles debut in the 2-0 win over Rwanda on Friday night.
Arokodare came on a second half substitute for Victor Osimhen and featured for over 15 minutes to mark his debut for team.
The 24-year-old Genk striker said he started crying when he hugged Osimhen.
He added that Osimhen played a huge role in his life and career.
” I started crying when I hugged Victor Osimhen. I hugged him and said thank you. He’s played a huge role in my life and in my career.”
He also mentioned how his Dad dedicated his life in ensuring he becomes a professional footballer.
…Most especially my dad because he kind of dedicated all his life to my football career.”
A Snapchat video also surfaced online where Arokodare shared tears in the Super Eagles dressing room after the win.
Tolu Arokodare is enjoying a brilliant season with Genk in the Belgium with 19 goals across all competitions this season.
