Victor Boniface will no longer join Cristiano Ronaldo at Al Nassr after the deal crashes a few hours ago.
Fabrizio Romano, the football transfers expert reports that the potential move didn’t materialize after the Saudi Arabia club failed to sanction it.
The journalist had earlier reported that the deal was in its later stages on Tuesday as financial details were being discussed between both club.
Romano also added that the player has already given his consent to join Al Nassr.
However, the transfer will no longer happen after Al Nassr apparently pulled out with 48 hours to the end of the transfer window.
Fabrizio Romano announces the latest development in a tweet.
“Victor Boniface and Al Nassr, deal OFF.
Nigerian striker won’t join the club, deal was advanced… but never done as Al Nassr never gave final green light.
Bayer Leverkusen’s director Rolfes also confirms Victor Boniface-Al Nassr deal is off.
“There have been talks, but we are happy that he will be training with us today. I assume that he will stay”.
“He feels comfortable here, his attitude towards the club is unchanged”.
Victor Boniface was left out of Xabi Alonso’s UEFA Champions League squad on Wednesday as the Bundesliga champions qualified for the round of sixteen.
Fabrizio Romano reports that Al Nassr have completed the signing of Jhon Durán from Aston Villa for €77m.
The forward will travel to Saudi Arabia after completing his medicals.
