Nigerian football fans might have to wait a little longer for the unveiling of Victor Boniface as a new AC Milan player as he’s yet to be given a clean bill of health.
Boniface, the 24-year-old striker arrived Milan for his medical examination on Friday in a bid to complete his loan move from Bayer Leverkusen.
AC Milan started medical examination of the player at the Madonnina clinic before heading to the Centro Ambrosiano for evaluate his fitness level.
Unfortunately, the examination was not concluded there as AC Milan requested for further test at the Galeazzi Hospital in order to be absolutely sure of Boniface’s physical state.
Reports have that the Italian club invited its trusted orthopedist who was on vacation to oversee the test procedures.
Football transfer expert, Matteo Moretto reports that there are doubts within the club regarding the physical readiness of Victor Boniface as the club wants to be very sure before taking the next steps.
Consequently, further tests will be conducted on Saturday morning as the club and player way anxiously for the result later in the day.
The extensive medical examination comes as a result of Victor Boniface’s recent struggles with injuries – two anterior cruciate ligament surgeries and muscle injuries that have kept him in the sidelines over the last two seasons.
