The playmaker disclosed that the team are yet to receive the $100,000 cash reward promised by the federal government following their historic win at the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON).

President Bola Tinubu hailed their triumphant return, pledging $100,000 for each of the 24 players, $50,000 for each of the 11 technical staff, a three-bedroom apartment per player in the Renewed Hope Estate in Abuja, and the Officer of the Order of the Niger (OON) national honor for all team members and crew.
The Super Falcons secured their record-breaking 10th WAFCON title with a thrilling 3-2 comeback against Morocco.

However, in a recent Instagram video, Ajibade voiced her disappointment, stating, “We’ve not received our money. They haven’t paid. Hopefully, they will pay.”
She also highlighted that other owed amounts, such as match bonuses, remain outstanding, describing it as a “work in progress.”
The Super Falcons continue to embody national pride while awaiting the promised support for their remarkable feat.
