Chelsea put 5 past a hapless Morecambe side to advance to the next round of the Emirates FA Cup.
The Blues started the game on the front foot and won a penalty only for Christopher Nkunku to see his spot-kick saved.
Despite that penalty miss, the Blues eventually broke the deadlock in the 39th minute through Tosin Adarabioyo’s deflected strike.
After the break, Nkunku made amends for his earlier penalty miss by scoring Chelsea’s second goal, effectively ending the contest.
Tosin sealed the win with an exceptional long-range strike, his second goal of the game, before Joao Felix added a brace to complete the rout.
Felix was also denied a penalty late on and the Blues’ convincing victory was capped off by Axel Disasi’s goalline clearance, ensuring a clean sheet.
