Brendon Rodgers men came from behind to defeat Manchester United 4-2 at the King Power Stadium in a six goal thriller with goals from Greenwood, Tielemans, Soyuncu, Rashford, Vardy and Daka getting the winner.
The first half was all United having control of the game and keeping possession and later took the lead with a sublime shot from outside the box that went straight into the top left corner from Greenwood. Youri Tielemans equalized in the 31st minute with a fine lob over De Gea who was off his line to make it 1-1 in the first half.
All of the other four goals came in the second half and it was the home side asking all the questions. They went ahead with Soyuncu having a tap in after the ball fell nicely for him. Rashford coming back from injury came in for Sancho and equalized to make it 2-2, immediately just after the restart from United’s goal Vardy put his side ahead not more than a minute later with a fine shot. Daka scored the winner at the 90th minute to guarantee all three points and to end Ole’s away record that have lasted over a year.
Manchester United will be playing Liverpool next at home but will first play Atalanta in the Champions League in mid-week, while Leicester will be playing two away games first against Spartak Moscow in the Europa League before going away at Brentford.
