Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca has heaped praise on striker Nicolas Jackson following his impressive performance in the Blues’ 2-1 win over Leicester City.
Jackson’s goal-scoring display caught Maresca’s attention, and the Chelsea boss is delighted with the Senegal international’s progress.
“For me, he is doing very well. I have said many times, since we started, he has been working hard on the ball and off the ball.
“He is making an effort to understand the way we want to play,” Maresca said.
Maresca is particularly impressed with Jackson’s work rate off the ball, highlighting his pressing as a key aspect of his game.
“We are very happy with the way Nico is playing on the ball but especially in the way he is playing off the ball – the way he is pressing.
“At this moment, we are very happy and we are sure he is going to get better game after game,” Maresca added.
