It was a fantastic night out for Barcelona as they crushed Mallorca 5-1 at the Estadio San Moix on Tuesday.
Barcelona, winless in their last three league games, started well with Ferran Torres breaking the deadlock in the 12th minute after a comical mistake between two Mallorca defenders presented him with a easy shot at goal.
The hosts equalized with Vedat Muriqi in a breakaway just before halftime to ensure nothing separated the two sides at the break.
Barca ran riot on the second half as Raphinha restored their lead from the penalty spot in the 56th minute after Lamine Yamal was fouled. Yamal then turned provider with the teenager curling in a wonderful 74th-minute cross to set up Raphinha’s second of the night.
Substitutes Frenkie de Jong and Pau Victor added to the goalfest with late strikes from inside the box to wrap up an easy win for the Blaugrana.
Barcelona remain at the top of the table, four points clear of closest rivals, Real Madrid who have two games in hand.
