Alimi Sikiru bagged a first half hat trick as the CHAN Eagles disptached non-league side Emmydinho Academy in a friendly match.
The Remo Stars striker scored on the 19th, 22nd, and 42nd minutes to lead the team to a very comfortable 5-0 victory over the amateur side.
Shooting Stars forward Jide Fatokun and Plateau United’s Vincent Temitope were the other goalscorers.
The CHAN Eagles are expected to play another friendly match on Thursday as they prepare to take on Ghana twelve days from now.
The first leg of the two-legged tie will hold at the Accra Sports Stadium on 22 December while the second leg is billed for the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo on 28 December, 2024.
The winner after two legs will qualify for the 2024 edition of the Championship of African Nations next year.
Tanzania, Kenya and Uganda will co-host the tournament between February 1 and February 28, 2025.
Austin Eguavoen having qualified the Super Eagles for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, will also look to secure qualification for the CHAN Eagles.
