Barcelona fell to a surprise 1-0 defeat against Leganes on Sunday night blowing the title race wide open.
Leganes took the lead from a corner after four minutes when captain, Sergio Gonzalez rose unmarked at the near post to fire an unstoppable header past goalkeeper Inaki Pena.
Barca responsed well to going behind, dominating the game and creating some massive chances. Leganés goalkeeper Marko Dmitrovic had a perfect first half, making three superb saves to deny Robert Lewandowski twice and Raphinha once and keep his team in front going into the break.
The hosts continued to dominate after the restart as Leganes sat back to protect their narrow lead. The best chance of the half fell to Jules Kounde who could only shoot wide of the far post from close range.
Barca remain top of the LaLiga standings with 38 points, level with Atletico Madrid and one point ahead Real Madrid in third, with both their title rivals having a game in hand.
