Paris Saint-Germain triumphed in style at the Stade Louis II on Wednesday evening, beating Monaco 4-2 to extend their lead at the top of the table.

Goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma was forced off with an injury to the face following a collision with Wilfried Singo in the 22nd minute.

PSG took the lead just two minutes later through Desire Doue who finished into the net after a surging run by Achraf Hakimi to cut the ball back to him.

Eliesse Ben Seghir equalised from the penalty spot in the 52nd minute after Marquinhos handled the ball in the box before Breel Embolo put Monaco in the lead in the 60th minute with his deft touch from Maghnes Akliouche’s pinpoint pass beating Safanov.

Monaco’s lead did not last long as Dembele equalized for the visitors just four minutes later and substitute, Goncalo Ramos powered home a header from Lee Kang In’s corner to give PSG the lead again.

Dembele put the contest beyond doubt deep into stoppage time, racing away on the counter before delicately lifting the ball over Monaco goalkeeper Philipp Kohn for his second of the night.

PSG now sit firmly in first place with 40 points in 16 games, 10 points above second-placed Marseille.
