Gift Orban’s impressive start to life at Hoffenheim continued on Sunday evening.
Even though his team lost to Victor Boniface’s Bayer Leverkusen, Orban put up an impressive performance.
The striker came off the bench in the second half to register his second Bundesliga goal of the season.
Orban came in for German midfielder Dennis Geiger in the 62nd minute and scored a few seconds later.
The 22-year-old fired hole a rebound after a melee in Bayer Leverkusen’s box to make the scoreline 3-1.
However, despite Bayer Leverkusen being reduced to ten men afterwards, Hoffenheim couldn’t stage a comeback as the defending champions held on to the end.
Gift Orban has now scored in two consecutive matches for Hoffenheim as he continues to impress after joining the club from Lyon.
