In a thrilling conclusion to Matchday 25 of the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL), Remo Stars solidified their position at the top of the table with a 2-0 win over Kwara United, while Katsina United edged out Enyimba with a 2-1 victory.

At the Gateway Stadium in Ijebu Ode, the home side faced a resilient Kwara United defense. The breakthrough came in the 79th minute when Samuel Anakwe found the back of the net, giving Remo Stars a crucial lead.

The match was sealed in stoppage time as substitute Hadi Haruna added a second goal, ensuring all three points for the league leaders. Notably, Super Eagles head coach Eric Chelle was in attendance, observing the proceedings from the stands.

Meanwhile, at the Muhammadu Dikko Stadium, Katsina United hosted Enyimba in a closely contested match. Bello Lukman emerged as the hero for the home team, netting a brace to put Katsina United ahead.

Enyimba managed to pull one back in stoppage time through substitute Ekene Awazie, but it was insufficient to alter the outcome. This defeat marks Enyimba’s seventh loss of the season.

These results have significant implications for the NPFL standings, with Remo Stars maintaining their lead and Katsina United gaining valuable points in their campaign.
