Tanju Çolak, a Galatasaray legend, says Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhem, unlike his teammates, plays until death.
Çolak added that the club would have been struggling in fifth place on the Turkish Super League table without the contribution of Osimhen.
The former Galatasaray striker told Ekol TV, as quoted by habersarikirmizi, in a recent chat.
“Osimhen, he plays to the death! There is a player like Osimhen who runs, fights, wants, can get his head into every ball, and throws himself into the middle,” Çolak said.
“None of them wants to win as much as Osimhen. Osimhen is a character who does not want to lose with his ambition, determination, and desire. If it were not for Osimhen, Galatasaray could even be 5th.”
Osimhen joined Galatasaray on loan from Napoli in a dramatic 2024 transfer saga but has been immense for the Turkish champions since his arrival.
The 27-year-old has 22 goals, five assists in 28 matches across all competitions this season for Galatasaray.
Osimhen’s loan deal expires at the end of the season and has been linked with a move to Manchester United and Chelsea in the Premier League.
