Bundesliga race remains open as Bayer Leverkusen and Bayern Munich drop points

The race to win this season’s Bundesliga title is still quite open after defending champions Bayer Leverkusen and league leaders Bayern Munich dropped points at home.

Bayern Munich suffered a shocking loss to Bochum at the Allianz Arena and Bayer Leverkusen lost at home as well to Werder Bremen.

Bayer Munich came into the match has overwhelming favorite after a spectacular Champions League performance over rivals Bayer Leverkusen in midweek.

Despite taking a two-goal lead within 28 minutes of the first half, Bayern Munich relinquished the lead to record their second loss of the season.

Bayer Leverkusen’s race to topple Bayern Munich at the top of the Bundesliga table hit a setback after a 2-0 loss to Werder Bremen at home.
