Super Eagles forward Moses Simon put up an impressive display as Nantes recorded a famous win over Lille.
Simon provided the assist that ended Nantes 19-game winless streak over Lille on Saturday evening.
The encounter was quite a close one as both sides came close to getting the opener on a few occasions.
However, despite being a man down, Nantes took the lead in the 82nd minute with Mostafa Mohammed’s beautiful header from Simon’s tailor-made cross.
The Nigerian winger had earlier received a yellow card early in the second half but continued Tom terrorize the defense of the visitors.
The win over put an end to Nantes 19-game winless run against Lille which dates back to 2004.
Moses Simon took his assists tally to eight in 24 Ligue 1 matches.
The 29-year-old will look to replicate his club form when the Super Eagles take on Rwanda and Zimbabwe in the important World Cup qualifiers in a few days.
