In the recent UEFA Nations League quarter-final first leg, Denmark secured a 1-0 victory over Portugal, with Rasmus Hojlund scoring the decisive goal.

Following his goal, Hojlund celebrated by emulating Cristiano Ronaldo’s iconic ‘Siu’ celebration, a gesture that drew significant attention.

Addressing the media ahead of the return leg in Lisbon, Ronaldo dismissed any notions of disrespect from Hojlund’s mimicry.

He stated, “For me, it was not a problem. I knew that this was not because he did not have respect for me. I’m smart enough to understand that not only him but around the world people from other sports also do my celebration. For me, it is an honour.”

Ronaldo further expressed his ambition for the upcoming match, adding, “I hope that he can see my celebration tomorrow. It is okay for me. If I score, it’s good for me, but if I don’t score and someone else scores, that’s fine with me.”
