Super Eagles of Nigeria defender Ola Aina is reportedly on the verge of signing a new contract with Nottingham Forest.
According to TEAMtalk, Aina is willing to ignore interest from Premier League powerhouses Manchester City, Liverpool, and Chelsea, to commit to a longer stay under manager Nuno Espirito Santo.
The 28-year-old has been instrumental in Forest’s backline since joining the club in 2023, and he’s now in advanced talks with the club to extend his stay beyond June 2025.
The former Chelsea man has been particularly impressive this season, making 29 Premier League appearances, scoring two goals and providing one assist. He’s also played a crucial role in 10 clean sheets across 25 matches, making a strong case to make the Premier League team of the season.
As one of the standout performers at the City Ground, his contract extension would be a significant boost for Forest.
Nuno’s men will hope to finish the season strong and secure Champions League football.
