Bayern Munich overcame an early deficit to defeat in-form Augsburg 3-1 on Friday, extending their lead to nine points.
Augsburg, unbeaten in their last 11 games, took the lead after 30 minutes through Dimitrios Giannoulis’ first Bundesliga goal, courtesy of a quick free kick.

However, Bayern Munich equalized just before halftime, as Jamal Musiala fired home after Leroy Sané’s good work on the left.
The game’s momentum shifted in the 59th minute when Cédric Zesiger was sent off for fouling Harry Kane. A minute later, Kane scored with a diving header to put Bayern ahead.
Kane’s goal marked his 23rd of the league season.
Bayern sealed the win with an own goal from Chrislain Matsima in stoppage time, securing a crucial three points and maintaining their comfortable lead at the top of the table.
