Iwobi delivers big performance as Fulham shock Liverpool

Alex Iwobi was the star of the show, contributing a goal and assist as Fulham defeated Liverpool 3-2 at Craven Cottage.

The game started in frantic pace as Alexis Mac Allister gave Liverpool an early lead in the 14th minute which briefly looked to have set the visitors on their way to a routine away win. However, Fulham responded in impressive fashion.

Ryan Sessegnon’s powerful shot leveled the score for Fulham, and just four minutes later, Alex Iwobi and Rodrigo Muniz scored to give the hosts an astonishing 3-1 lead at halftime.

Liverpool launched a fierce attack in the second half, but Fulham’s defense held firm against the relentless pressure. The Reds finally found some hope when substitute Conor Bradley set up Luis Díaz for a goal, but it was too little, too late.

Fulham’s victory was a significant upset, while elsewhere, Southampton’s relegation was confirmed after a 3-1 defeat to Tottenham.
