Former World Heavyweight Boxing champion Anthony Joshua is back on the street of Lagos a few months after spending the festive break in his hometown – Saguma, Ogun State.
Anthony Joshua spent the last Christmas and new year break interacting with fans, locals and celebrities in the country.
The former boxing champion is back in the country and was seen jogging on the street of Lagos on Sunday morning.
Anthony Joshua exganged pleasantries with the locals, while jogging on the road that leads to the Banana area of Lagos State.
Joshua hasn’t been in the ring since September where he suffered a fifth round knockout to IBF heavyweight champion Daniel Dubois.
The loss put Anthony Joshua out of a title chance as he missed the opportunity to become a three-time heavyweight champion.
However, current WBO interim champion, Joseph Parker says a fight with Joshua is always one to look forward to.
The New Zealander says he’s now a better fighter and will like to avenge his losses to Anthony Joshua, Joe Joyce, Oleksandr Uysk and other heavyweight fighters he has lost to.
““I would like to avenge the losses that I have. If I can’t fight for the championship of the world against Usyk or Dubois, I would like to fight Anthony Joshua, Joe Joyce or Dillian Whyte to avenge those losses. I feel like I’m a totally different fighter now.”
“AJ is always going to be a big fight because he’s a massive draw, and I think it’s only AJ who can come off a loss to Daniel Dubois in the way that he did lose, and still draw a massive crowd because he’s got a big following.”
Joseph is the interim WBO champion and the mandatory challenger to Oleksandr Uysk’s title. Consequently, a win for Joshua could see him back in contention for a heavyweight title figh.
