Raphinha made history for Barcelona as they thrashed Borussia Dortmund 4-0 at home to claim a healthy first-leg advantage.
The Brazilian winger’s impressive performance included one goal and two assists, bringing his total goal involvements in the Champions League this season to 19 – a feat only previously achieved by Lionel Messi in the 2011/12 campaign.

The Brazilian opened the scoring for Barca by tapping home a close-range shot, before setting up Robert Lewandowski for a header, and finally delivering a delightful pass to Lamine Yamal, who sealed the win with his goal.
With 12 goals and seven assists in the Champions League this season, Raphinha’s sights are now set on breaking Cristiano Ronaldo’s all-time record of 21 goal involvements, set in the 2013/14 season.
Barcelona’s dominant win over Dortmund puts them in a strong position ahead of next week’s quarter-final second-leg clash in Germany, and Raphinha will be keen to write his name permanently in the history books.
