Trailing after Ko Itakura’s opener, Dortmund surged with three goals before halftime: Serhou Guirassy equalized, Felix Nmecha struck, and Daniel Svensson headed in. Kevin Stoger’s penalty narrowed the gap. Chelsea loanee Carney Chukwuemeka, back from injury, played a key role in all three goals.
Augsburg secured a 0-0 draw against Eintracht Frankfurt with Cédric Zesiger’s last-gasp clearance denying Ansgar Knauff’s certain goal.
