Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola says he will never forget Bernardo Silva’s commitment during the team’s poor run of form across major competitions between October and February.

Guardiola revealed that the Portuguese midfielder kept covering distances and giving his best on the pitch even though the team was struggling to win games.

He added that Bernardo Silva was worn out mentally during the period but kept pushing even though the results weren’t forthcoming.

“Bernardo, what he has done for us this season… I don’t forget! I don’t forget November, December, January, February, March when we didn’t win one single game, and he was always there”.

“Running 30 kilometres every way, playing different positions, running, and there was a moment that he was empty, mentally. And after that not winning games, he was tired, he was empty”.

“But Bernardo, in the important games, has an incredibly huge personality”.

Bernardo Silva with 29 Premier League games this season so far, has three goals and four assists.

Pep Guardiola’s men continued their chase for a champions league ticket next season with late winner over Aston at the Etihad on Tuesday night.
