Manchester United winger Amad Diallo has returned to training ahead of his scheduled return to the team.
Diallo picked up an ankle injury in February, just before the Premier League fixture away at Tottenham, and was ruled out for the rest of the season.
However, the 22-year-old healed fast ahead of time and is back on the training pitch with the rest of the team ahead of the Europa League semi-final clash against Athletic Bilbao.
Diallo, before his injury, was in good form and was arguably the best player on Ruben Amorim’s team with eight goals, six assists in 32 matches.
Meanwhile. Dutch defender Matthijs De Ligt also returned to training after missing the last few matches due to injury.
Amad Diallo’s return boosts Manchester United’s chances of getting past Athletic Bilbao as they look to progress to the final for the first time since 2017, when they clinched the title over Ajax.
It is not clear if Diallo and DE Ligt will make the trip to Bilbao for the first leg of the semi-final on Thursday night.
