Moses Simon, without a doubt, has been one of the best-performing Nigerian players in Europe this season.
The Super Eagles winger scored and provided an assist in Nantes’ win over Montpellier on the final day of the season – Saturday night.
Simon gave the home side the lead via a penalty kick in the 18th minute after he was brought down in the box.
The 29-year-old buried the ball into the bottom left corner of goal to register his eighth league goal of the season.
He also provided the assist for Matthis Albine’s goal as Nantes ended the season with a comfortable 3-0 win at home.
Moses Simon is now the first Nigerian player to register double figures -10, in assits in Europe’s top five leagues.
Simon achieved this feat on Saturday night as he marked his 200th Ligue 1 appearance.
Moses Simon is in contention to win the most successful dribbles award – a recently-introduced award category on the Ligue 1.
