The 2024–25 La Liga season reached its climax on Saturday, May 24, with six pivotal matches that shaped the final standings and narratives of the campaign.

At the Santiago Bernabéu, Real Madrid secured a 2–0 victory over Real Sociedad, marking the final home game for manager Carlo Ancelotti and veteran midfielder Luka Modrić.

Kylian Mbappé delivered a stellar performance, netting both goals and concluding his debut La Liga season with 31 goals, clinching the European Golden Shoe.

Leganés ended their season on a high note with a commanding 3–0 win against Real Valladolid at the Estadio Municipal de Butarque. Despite the victory, Leganés faced relegation, as results elsewhere sealed their fate.

Espanyol ensured their La Liga survival with a crucial 2–0 triumph over Las Palmas at the RCDE Stadium. The win lifted them out of the relegation zone, capping a dramatic escape from the drop.

In a balanced encounter at Mendizorroza, Alavés and Osasuna shared the spoils with a 1–1 draw. Both teams concluded the season comfortably mid-table, reflecting consistent performances throughout the campaign.

Celta Vigo edged past Getafe with a 2–1 victory at the Coliseum Alfonso Pérez. The win secured Celta’s position in the league, while Getafe’s loss marked a disappointing end to their season.

Rayo Vallecano and Mallorca played out a goalless draw at the Estadio de Vallecas. The result had minimal impact on the standings, with both teams finishing the season in stable mid-table positions.

As the season concludes, attention now turns to the remaining fixtures on Sunday, May 25 which will finalize the league standings.
