I want to win! – Eric Chelle declares after beating Ghana in Unity Cup

Super Eagles manager Eric Chelle says he wants to win the Unity Cup after beating Ghana in the semi-final on Wednesday.

The Super Eagles claimed a 2-1 win over Ghana in a pulsating encounter at the Gtech Stadium in London.

Glasgow Rangers’ striker Cyriel Dessers and an own goal secured consecutive victories for Nigeria over their arch-rivals.

Speaking after the match, Eric Chelle says he is in the final to win the trophy as the Super Eagles take on the Reggae Boys of Jamaica.

“We just played one game, and we will try to prepare the team for the second game. We are in the final, and we want to win, but the reality is Jamaica is a great team, staff, and players. It will be a great game”

” We will have two or three training sessions, and we will see after.”

When asked about his style of play, Chelle says he loves high pressure on the pitch but the system is difficult for the players.

” I want to put some high pressure on the pitch, but the system is quite difficult for the players. My dream is that my team makes some high pressure in 90 minutes, but I think it’s impossible. We need to work and improve”

The Super Eagles eoll look to replicate their 2004 Unity Cup victory over Jamaica when the two teams meet in the final on

Saturday night.
