‘We are in talks with Osimhen’s agent’ — Vice President reveals

Victor Osimhen could sign for Galatasaray on a permanent deal this summer, according to the club’s vice-president.

Galatasaray’s hierarchy believes that their record-breaking Nigerian marksman may be going nowhere this summer.

Vice-president İbrahim Hatipoğlu says the odds of Victor Osimhen remaining in Istanbul climb “with each passing day.”

According to Hatipoğlu, Osimhen arrived almost by accident. Speaking to AS via TMW, the Galatasaray vice president said, “When they offered us Osimhen, we did not need a striker, but we signed him in two days.”

That gamble paid off spectacularly: 37 goals and eight assists in 41 outings, plus a league-and-cup double that reignited the club’s European ambitions.

Now, Hatipoğlu insists the forward is edging closer to extending his stay, adding, “Abdullah Kavukcu, head of transfers, is handling the process alongside Italian agent George Gardi. With each passing day, the chances of Osimhen staying at Galatasaray increase.”

Crucially, Osimhen has already turned down a reported €35 million-a-year package from Simone Inzaghi’s Al-Hilal, signalling sporting priorities over pure financial gain, an encouraging sign for Gala fans.
