Victor Osimhen has decided to turn his loan move from Galatasaray into a permanent one, according to Corriere dello Sport via CalcioMercato.
The Nigerian striker rejected a substantial offer from Saudi club Al-Hilal, prioritizing his future in Turkey.
The 26-year-old played a pivotal role in Galatasaray’s third consecutive Turkish Super Lig title in 2024-25, scoring vital goals in 37 appearances and becoming a beloved figure among Istanbul fans. CalcioMercato reports,
“Osimhen wants to stay in Istanbul and has communicated his decision to Galatasaray,” adding,
“He intends to continue playing for Galatasaray.”
Osimhen’s reported choice is a sound one, as Galatasaray offers Champions League football, guaranteed playing time, and an adoring fanbase that reveres and adores him.
Most importantly, after the ex-Lille man scored 37 goals in 41 appearances while on loan last season, the fans know exactly what to expect, this time on a permanent basis.
