Barau FC have secured qualification to the Nigeria Premier Football League for the first time.
The Kano-based club defeated Doma United in the final match of the playoffs played at the University Field, Ozoro, Delta State.

Meanwhile, Warri Wolves and Kun Khalifa have also secured qualification to the Nigeria Premier League next season.
Barau FC is owned by the Deputy Speaker of the Senate of Nigeria – Senator Barau Jibrin.
