The Nigeria Premier Football League has released the fixture list ahead of the 2025/2026 football season.
Defending champions, Remo Stars, will start their title defense with a home fixture against last season’s first runner-up, Rivers United.
The reverse fixture between the two sides ended in a barren draw, while Rivers United secured a narrow 1-0 win in Port Harcourt.
Coach Daniel Ogunmodede’s side will look to start the defense of their first-ever title on a winning note as they face a Rivers United team led by former Super Eagles coach Finidi George.
Meanwhile, newcomers Barau FC face a tough test as they welcome nine-time champions of the league, Enyimba.
Newly promoted side Kun Khalifat also faces a daunting start as they welcome 2024 Enugu Rangers on matchday one.
Ahmed Musa-led Kano Pillars will travel to Umuahia to take on Abia Warriors, while FA Cup champions Kwara United will host Ikorodu City in Ilorin.
