Al-Hilal has officially announced the signing of Uruguayan striker, Darwin Núñez from Premier League champions Liverpool, securing him on a three-year contract.
The deal was confirmed by both clubs today, marking a notable move in this summer’s transfer window.
While neither club disclosed financial details publicly, it is widely reported that Al-Hilal paid approximately around £46 million to bring Núñez to Riyadh. The striker has already joined his new teammates at Al-Hilal’s pre-season training camp in Germany.

Núñez’s tenure at Anfield was filled with highs and lows. He made 143 appearances, tallying 40 goals and 26 assists, but ended up on the fringes during Liverpool’s title-winning campaign, starting just eight league games and scoring five times last season.
Al-Hilal, coached by Simone Inzaghi, are aiming to reclaim their dominance in the Saudi Pro League and add the coveted 20th domestic title to their record. The club has also strengthened their squad with notable signings such as Theo Hernández from AC Milan.
