Cristiano Ronaldo proposes to Georgina Rodríguez after nearly a decade together

Football legend, Cristiano Ronaldo and his longtime partner, Georgina Rodríguez, are officially engaged after nearly eight years of dating.

The joyful news was confirmed by the model through a heartfelt Instagram post earlier today.

In her post, Georgina shared a close-up image of her left hand resting upon Ronaldo’s, adorned with an impressive diamond ring. The caption read: “Yes I do. In this and in all my lives,” a translation of her Spanish original message.

The couple first went public with their relationship in early 2017 following their meeting at a Gucci store in Madrid in late 2016. Over time, their bond deepened, and together they navigated life’s milestones—from raising their blended family to gracing red carpet events and co-starring in a Netflix series.

Georgina and Ronaldo share four young children—twins Eva María and Mateo (8), daughter Alana (7), and daughter Bella (3)—as well as Ronaldo’s eldest son Cristiano Jr., from a previous relationship. The couple also experienced unimaginable heartbreak with the loss of baby Ángel, Bella’s twin brother, in 2022.

Fans had long speculated about an engagement. Ronaldo himself had previously hinted in their Netflix series I Am Georgina, stating he was “1,000 percent sure” a proposal would happen—“It could be in a year…or six months…or in a month.”
