Calvin Bassey’s excellent performance earned him Fulham’s 2024/2025 Player of the Year. Bassey is strong on the ball, has aerial dominance and positional awareness which makes him one the best defenders in the league.
4. Frank Onyeka

His performance for the Super Eagles at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations showed Brentford’s former manager, Thomas Frank what the Onyeka is capable of doing. A box-to-box midfielder with tireless runs and ball-winning abilities. Onyeka had a decent loan spell in the Bundlesliga last season and he’s back in the league to contend for a starting shirt under new manager, Keith Andrews.
5. Taiwo Awoniyi

Awoniyi is a striker that gives his team presence in the box. He’s strong on the ball and can easily bully defenders and aim at goal. Injuries have dealt with him over the last couple of months but Nottingham Forest retained him for the new season – a testament to his abilities when fit. With Nottingham Forest competing in Europe this season, Awoniyi is expected to get adequate game time under Nuno Espirito Santo.
