Cristiano Ronaldo’s thirst for another major silverware at Al Nassr continues to linger as Al Nassr fell to rivals Al Ahli in the Saudi Super Cup final.

The five-time Ballon d’or recipient scored in regular time and during the penalty shootouts but his efforts weren’t enough to help Al Nassr win the cup.

Ronaldo gave  Al Nassr the lead five minutes before the first half break from the spot as he went the ball down the middle of the net.

Howeverz the lead lasted a few minutes as Cote D’Ivoire’s Franck Kessie restored parity in added time of the first half with a brilliant finish.

With less than eight minutes to the end of regular time, Croatian midfielder, Marcelo Brozovic powered a brilliant strike into back of the net to put Al Nassr 2-1 up.

While Ronaldo, Brozovic and Joao Felix converted their penalty kicks, Abdullah Al Khaibari missed his as Al Ahli won 5-3.
