Szoboszlai Excels at Right-Back
With Trent Alexander-Arnold’s departure and an injury to his replacement, Jeremie Frimpong, Liverpool’s right-back position looked vulnerable. However, manager Arne Slot has opted to play midfielder Dominik Szoboszlai in the role, and the decision is paying off.
Szoboszlai’s physicality, speed, and quality on the ball from a deeper position have given him a new lease on life, and he looks like a natural fit for the position.
Arsenal Missed an Opportunity
The Gunners started the match brightly, controlling the first half and putting Liverpool on the back foot. However, they failed to capitalize on their early dominance. The second half saw Liverpool take control of possession, and while they struggled to create clear chances, Arsenal never truly threatened.
After winning at Old Trafford on the opening weekend, this was a golden opportunity for Arteta’s men to make another major statement, but they couldn’t overcome a Liverpool side that was far from its best.
