Turkey and Greece stormed into the EuroBasket 2025 semifinals on Tuesday, setting the stage for a dramatic finish to the continent’s biggest basketball showcase.
In Berlin, Turkey overpowered Poland 91–77 with a dominant all-round display. Alperen Şengün was at the heart of the victory, stuffing the stat sheet with a near triple-double while Furkan Korkmaz and Şehmus Hazer provided crucial scoring bursts.

The Turks controlled the boards and forced turnovers at key moments, pulling away in the second half to book their first semifinal spot in over two decades.
Greece followed suit in emphatic fashion, dispatching Lithuania 87–76 behind yet another towering performance from Giannis Antetokounmpo. The Milwaukee Bucks superstar powered through Lithuania’s defense, inspiring Greece to their first semifinal appearance since 2009 and keeping alive hopes of a historic title run.
The tournament now moves into its final stretch with two more quarterfinals scheduled for Wednesday: Finland face surprise package Georgia, while Germany clash with Slovenia in a battle featuring Luka Dončić, who is chasing Dražen Petrović’s all-time EuroBasket scoring mark.
The semifinals tip off on Friday, with the final set for Sunday in Berlin. With Antetokounmpo in full flight and Şengün leading a Turkish resurgence, EuroBasket 2025 looks destined for a spectacular conclusion.
