Nigeria’s hurdles queen Oluwatobiloba Amusan has won silver in the Women’s 100m hurdles event at the ongoing World Athletics Championship in Tokyo, Japan.
Amusan clocked a timing of 12.29s as she finished second behind Switzerland’s Ditaji Kambundji who posted a timing of 12.29.
United States’ Grace Stark finished third with 12.34 Sec to wrap up an intriguing race.
Tobi Amusan returns to the medals podium at the World stage for the first time since 2022.
Amusan still holds the record for the fastest time in the 100m hurdles with a timing of 12.12s at the 2022 World Championship in Eugene.
Tobi Amusan is Nigeria’s first medalist at the ongoing World Athletics Championship with the competition set to close on Sunday.
