Kylian Mbappe achieved an important feat on Tuesday night as he scored his 50th goal for Real Madrid.
The French striker scored twice from the penalty spot to give the 15-time champions a 2-1 win over Marseille at the Santiago Bernabeu.
Mbappe scooped the “Man of the Match” award as expected as 10-man Real Madrid kicked-off their Champions League campaign on a winning note.
When asked how many goals he wishes to score at the end of the season after the victory over Marseille, Mbappe says he doesn’t want to put a limit to it.
Since joining Real Madrid on a free transfer last summer, the former Paris Saint-Germain forward has been arguably the best player on the team.
Mbappe made an instant impact in the La Liga as he won the top scorer award with 31 goals becoming the second French player to win the award.
Former Real Madrid and France striker, Karim Benzema is the first French player to win the award.
Benzema finished as top scorer in the 2021/2022 season ahead scored 27 goals in 31 matches.
