The Zimbabwe Football Association have decided against hosting the Bafana Bafana of South Africa on the home soil of their opponent.
The Warriors have played their of their home matches in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers in South Africa due to the lack of an approved stadium in the country.
Ahead of the crucial World Cup qualifier against South Africa on October 10, Zimbabwe have reportedly selected the Obed Itani Chilume Stadium in Francistown, Botswana to host the match.
The Warriors are currently bottom of the Group C with four points from eight matches in the qualification series.
The decision comes after FIFA opened investigation on South Africa’s use of an ineligible player in the victory against Lesotho.
South Africa are at risk of losing three points and three goals of found guilty of violating FIFA regulation.
