Trabzonspor rescued a valuable point at Papara Park on Saturday as André Onana turned provider for Paul Onuachu in a 1-1 draw against Gaziantep in the Turkish Süper Lig.
The visitors drew first blood in the 39th minute when Kévin Rodrigues capitalised on a defensive lapse to put Gaziantep ahead. Trabzonspor struggled to break through until the second half, when their goalkeeper Onana produced a moment of brilliance. Spotting Onuachu’s run, the Cameroonian launched a precise long ball over the top in the 70th minute.

Onuachu controlled superbly, shrugged off his marker and calmly lifted the ball past the advancing goalkeeper to draw the hosts level. The strike marked the Nigerian forward’s third league goal of the season and underlined his growing importance to Abdullah Avcı’s side.
Despite pushing for a winner, Trabzonspor were forced to settle for a share of the spoils. The result leaves them on 11 points after six games, while Gaziantep climb to 10 points.
