Juventus’s perfect start to the Serie A season came to an end on Saturday as they were held to a 1-1 draw at Hellas Verona.

Despite dropping points, the Bianconeri still moved into sole possession of first place, one point ahead of defending champions Napoli.

Francisco Conceicao put Juventus ahead in the 19th minute with a fine strike, but a handball by Joao Mario before the break led to a penalty that was expertly converted by Gift Orban for Verona.

The hosts thought they had won the game when a goal from Suat Serdar was scored in the 67th minute, but it was ruled out for offside after a VAR review.
