Fulham’s boss Marco Silva has confirmed that Super Eagles winger Samuel Chukwueze could make his debut in Tuesday’s Carabao Cup clash against Cambridge Town.
The 26-year-old forward is yet to play a match since he joined the West London club from AC Milan on loan on deadline day.
Chukwueze was cheered from the bench on Saturday night as his Super Eagles teammate Alex Iwobi propelled Fulahm to a 3-1 win over Brentford at Craven Cottage.
While speaking ahead of Cambridge, the Portuguese manager said Chukwueze is in place to get minutes against the League two side.
“Naturally, they are going to get minutes throughout the season, because we signed them,” the Portuguese manager was quoted as saying by the BBC.
“[Kusi-Asare] is a young lad, he needs time to adapt. He came from a massive club, let’s see when he’s ready to have minutes. It will take time.”
Since leaving Villarreal, Chukwueze has endured a difficult time at AC Milan with limited game time and struggling to meet up with expectations.
Samuel Chukwueze will look to get back to form at Fulham being a team that soothes to his style of play.
