The Super Eagles have reportedly boycotted training today Tuesday, November 11, ahead of the crucial World Cup playoffs against Gabon.
According to reports, the players and staff have opted not to train until a quick resolution is reached over due owed bonuses.
BBC Africa journalist, Oluwashina Okeleji shared the development on his X page.
“2026 WorldCup playoff: #Nigeria players & officials boycott training in bonus row. The full squad including officials boycott training today in Morocco because of unresolved issues with outstanding payments. Awaiting a quick resolution to continue preparation for Thursday’s game.”
Findings reveal that the Nigeria Football Federation owe bonuses of over 30 matches which dates back to 2019.
None of the players have received allocated allowances for qualify for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations and the World Cup playoffs according to reports.
