Aston Villa crushed Nottingham Forest on Thursday night to cruise into the final of the Europa League.

Villa Park was loud and vociferous backing their team who came into the second leg tie on a goal deficit.

The hosts needed a positive start to tie the game but didn’t get the opener until the 36th minute.

Emiliano Buendia skillfully went past two defenders and placed a square pass to Ollie Watkins who smashed the ball into the roof of the net.

Emiliano Buendia doubled the lead for the Villains just before the hour mark from the penalty spot after a pull on Paul Torres in the box.

Moments later John McGinn bagged a brace in quick succession to completely put the game away from Nottingham Forest’s reach.
