“THE KING FINALLY RULES SAUDI!”, Ronaldo Fires Al Nassr to Dramatic League Glory After Years of Heartbreak

Cristiano Ronaldo scored twice as Al Nassr defeated Damac FC 4-1 on Thursday night to clinch the Saudi Pro League title in dramatic fashion.

The victory handed Ronaldo his first league title in Saudi Arabia since making his blockbuster move to the kingdom in January 2023, ending months of frustration and near misses for the Portuguese superstar.

Al Nassr entered the final day of the season under immense pressure after failing to secure the title last week following a heartbreaking stoppage-time error from goalkeeper Bento in a 1-1 draw against fierce rivals Al Hilal.

Things became even worse days later when Jorge Jesus’ side suffered a shocking defeat to Japan’s Gamba Osaka in the AFC Champions League Two final.

But with the title race hanging by a thread, Ronaldo delivered when it mattered most.

Former Liverpool FC winger Sadio Mané opened the scoring late in the first half before Kingsley Coman doubled the lead moments after the restart.

Ronaldo then took centre stage, smashing home two goals to send the King Saud University Stadium into celebration and seal Al Nassr’s 11th league title, their first since his arrival.

The triumph also means Al Nassr finished two points ahead of Al Hilal in one of the most dramatic title races in recent Saudi Pro League history.

Since arriving in Saudi Arabia after his second spell with Manchester United, Ronaldo has scored more than 100 goals for Al Nassr across three seasons, transforming the club into one of the biggest attractions in world football.

The five-time Ballon d’Or winner has now won league titles in Portugal, England, Spain, Italy and Saudi Arabia, adding yet another chapter to his legendary career.

Ronaldo is also expected to captain Portugal at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, which will mark his sixth appearance at football’s biggest tournament.
