Niger Tornadoes have officially appointed Kabiru Dogo as the club’s new technical adviser ahead of the 2026/27 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season.
The experienced tactician signed a three-year contract with the Minna-based club and was formally unveiled on Wednesday at the club’s secretariat in Minna.
The unveiling ceremony was attended by the club’s newly appointed chairman, Dr. Abubakar Kuso, alongside the Permanent Secretary of the Niger State Ministry of Youth and Sports, who introduced Dogo to supporters, stakeholders and members of the media.
Dogo arrives at Niger Tornadoes with an impressive coaching résumé, having previously managed several NPFL clubs, including El-Kanemi Warriors, Nasarawa United, Kwara United, ABS FC and Sunshine Stars.
Last season, the veteran coach guided El-Kanemi Warriors to the final of the 2026 President Federation Cup. However, the Maiduguri-based side endured a disappointing league campaign that ended in relegation from the NPFL.
Known for his tactical discipline and ability to assemble competitive squads, Dogo has been handed the responsibility of leading the Ikon Allah Boys to a stronger campaign after the club narrowly escaped relegation last season.
His appointment signals Niger Tornadoes’ ambition to reinforce their technical setup as they aim to establish themselves among the NPFL’s top-performing clubs and challenge for honours in the coming seasons.
