Nigeria National League side, Akwa United have appointed former Sporting Lagos manager, Paul Offor has their new coach ahead of the new season.
Paul Offor, according to reports has signed his contract as he’s tasked with returning the club to the Nigeria Premier Football League next season.
Akwa United dropped to the Nigeria National League last season after the former champions finished 18th last season in the NPFL.
Paul Offor replaces former Plateau United’s league-winning coach Kennedy Boboye. Boboye also helped Akwa United win their first-ever League title in 2021.
Unfortunately, he couldn’t help the “The Promise Keepers” avoid relegation last season on his six months second stint at the club.
Offor, the 36-year-old manager manager won the maiden edition of the Naija Super 8 tournament with Sporting Lagos in 2023.
