Real Madrid fans online blame manager Carlo Ancelotti after the humiliating defeat to Arsenal in the first leg of the quarter-finals of the UEFA Champions League.

The defending champions suffered an embarrassing 3-0 loss against the Gunners on Tuesday night at the Emirates to put their chances of qualifying for the last four in huge doubt.

Declan Rice scored two sublime free-kicks in the second half to extend Arsenal’s unbeaten run against Real Madrid in the history of the competition.

Real Madrid fans and neutrals took to X to express their thoughts on the loss to Arsenal.

1. Tosin

“Ancelotti has no tactics, he must be out, we need a good playmaker back like kroos”

2. Khaled

“Real Madrid has been very bad since the beginning of the season, and Ancelotti did not find solutions or tactics that match the players’ capabilities. Rather, the stubbornness in placing Tchouameni as a defender next to Rudiger led to disasters. This is an example.”

3. Rabie

“Ancelotti also failed to call upon youth team players like Asensio to fill the gaps, and the team didn’t make any signings during the winter transfer window! Many factors led to these disasters, but Ancelotti remains primarily responsible for this performance and these results.”

4. Fidelity

“I’ve never seen a Real Madrid champions league squad as demotivated as the one I watched against Arsenal in the past 15 years. No doubt Arsenal played exceptional football, but Real Madrid’s fighting spirit was virtually nonexistent. All the best in the second leg! Hala Madrid!”

5. LIVHU

“We have to be honest, we never played well since game one this season. No rhythm since Kroos left the team, we have been helped mostly by the brilliant of our front three in the games we won, otherwise we are thin in the midfield. Well done Arsenal.”

6. Trem

“What a horrible season,I told you guys to bench vinicius he has been horrible for the past 5 games and he was horrible today……..we need to get rid of @MrAncelotti”

7. Fred

“the @realmadrid Coach must start being more serious with the players & require them to get out of their big heads, if you keep losing games then being a “star” doesn’t mean sht. Don’t allow players to not chase the ball ⚽️, there is not hunger, there’s no fight in them..”

8. Eren

“Football fans do not understand Ancelotti’s stubbornness in not playing Arda Guler . Arda is a player who can unlock the game”

9. Beanskiboy

” tired of this blaming Ancelotti shit when we have a front 3 players worth 100+ million each that can’t finish or fuckin pass. Vini is fuckin horrible rn & Rodrygo only plays good when he decides to be involved. Mbappe shooting at the goalie. But yeah, Ancelotti is the problem”

10. Junimill

“To my fellow real madrid fans, this season isn’t even bad, don’t sack Carlo ancelotti and watch ur club burn to ashes next season”

11. Retro

“this should be Ancelotti last season in Real Madrid i don’t want to see near us he inserted the suffer syndrome into our players heads and now everyone has been shit, he literally have LB”

12. Edwin

“Even with an improbable league success, can’t see how Carlo Ancelotti retain his job this summer. They’ve staggered their way through 2/3 of the season. Add Modric to the list of potential departures. Said it on today’s show, “his lack of pace will be brutally exploited”.
